THE HUDSON THEATER

THE HUDSON THEATRE

Home to the earliest Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festivals, the multi-theater complex known as The Hudson is the shining jewel of the Hudson Theatre Group's many properties on Hollywood’s famous Theatre Row.

The Hudson Theater was established in 1991 by Elizabeth Reilly and has received considerable recognition for its artistic contributions over the years, including hundreds of awards.

In 1992, the Hudson received the LADCC award for establishing a new vibrant theatre district in Hollywood by creating the industrious "Theatre Row Hollywood." That same year, Lily Tomlin presented the Hudson Theatre Group with the Charlie Award, given by the Hollywood Arts Council for "meritorious contributions to Hollywood."

The Hudson is where Comedy Central’s Comedy Stage is, and where that channel's Stand-Up Comedian Specials are filmed. The complex boasts state-of-the-art technology and 5 unique theaters of varying capacity.

The Hudson Theatre has served as a screening room for various HRIFF events and showcases. We often have our more intimate screenings and social events at The Hudson Theatre.
