Stunning film that is half documentary and half art piece that converges into one gripping drama. A phone call about whether of not to move in together recorded voyeuristically as the camera abstractly pans and track over all the 193 centimeters of a naked man lying in bed on the phone. It creates and tense and beautiful sense that you were the fly on the wall during an important and small part of real human life. A stunner. At The New Beverly Cinema |

Director Michael Peer has mastered a significant part of a certain type of filmmaking that hundreds of filmmakers attempt and fail at doing every year, the gangster/drug deal movie is perennial favorite of independent filmmakers, but interweaving stories with the right level of tension while keeping viewer interest involves having a perfect sense of pacing, and this student film has its plot and pacing down cold, creating an entertaining and watchable drug deal gone wrong movie.
