At first glance, Saints seems to be an anti-religious film… however, it is not. The message behind Saints is that no religion is evil, but what man has done to manipulate religion is. The film follows Elder Paterson and Elder Johnson, two Mormon missionaries with a convoluted set of morals. When the two young men begin to rob family homes, the guilt and evil that lies within them becomes present.

Director: Hugo Niebeling
Hugo Niebeling, created a radical, Oscar© nominated, editing style that predated, influenced, and informed the 1960's experimental underground, helped created the modern music video, and later on, revolutionized the filmed symphony. In 1972, Niebeling locked horns with legendary conductor Herbert von Karajan who took away an innovatively filmed and edited symphony performance of Beethoven's Eroica and re-cut the film showing mostly close-ups of himself conducting. See the never before seen original, an innovative and psychedelic vision, in the directors cut of Eroica. Screening alongside the Karajan re-cut version that was released to the public in 1972.
